A Mission of Care — Between Cats, Respect, and Recycling

Ogni viaggio porta con sé una sfida, un insegnamento, una promessa.

La mia, nel cuore della Medina di Marrakech, è una missione fatta di amore e di cura — per gli animali, ma anche per il pianeta.

Qui, dove i vicoli sono stretti e la vita si mescola alla polvere, i rifiuti si accumulano ovunque.

Non esiste una vera raccolta differenziata, non c’è una cultura del riciclo.

Eppure, è proprio qui che scelgo di seminare un cambiamento, piccolo ma concreto.

Quando porto il cibo ai gatti randagi, uso scatolette di alluminio: leggere, riutilizzabili, riciclabili.

Le lavo, le conservo, e una volta tornata a Milano le smaltisco correttamente.

Sono piccoli gesti, ma ognuno racchiude un messaggio profondo: la cura non è mai a senso unico.

Prendersi cura degli animali significa anche prendersi cura dell’ambiente che condividiamo con loro.

Nel progetto “Una Zampa alla Volta” non ci sono solo ciotole e crocchette, ma anche educazione e consapevolezza.

Ogni volta che una persona del posto si ferma a guardare, a chiedere, a capire, nasce un seme.

Un seme di rispetto, di attenzione, di futuro.

Questo è il mio viaggio: un cammino fatto di passi piccoli, ma costanti.

Credo che la gentilezza possa cambiare il mondo — ma perché accada, serve partecipazione.

Every journey carries a challenge, a lesson, and a promise.

Mine, in the heart of the Medina of Marrakech, is a mission made of love and care — for animals, but also for the planet.

Here, in the narrow alleys where life intertwines with dust and noise, waste accumulates everywhere.

There is no real recycling system, no culture of reuse.

And yet, it is precisely here that I choose to plant the seeds of change — small, humble, but concrete.

When I feed the street cats, I use small aluminum trays: light, reusable, recyclable.

I wash them, keep them, and once I return to Milan, I dispose of them properly.

They may seem like simple gestures, but each one carries a powerful message: care is never one-sided.

Taking care of animals also means taking care of the environment we share with them.

Within the project “One Paw at a Time”, there are not only bowls and food — there is also education and awareness.

Every time a local person stops to watch, to ask, to understand, a seed is planted.

A seed of respect, of attention, of future.

This is my journey: a path made of small, constant steps.

I believe kindness can change the world — but for that to happen, it takes participation.
